Come by and see for yourself.
We are located directly at the Weinbergspark in Berlin Mitte.

We don't know, if we are a good company. But we really try to be.

But we know: We are in very good company with our awesome team.

As an independent and owner-managed creative agency we are not obliged to any networks, CCOs or boards of directors. We are only commited to our clients and employees. But that with heart, soul and determination.

And so we created our own agency world, and made MOTOR for all team mates the place-to-be-themselves. With industry-usual foosball table, espresso machine and agency dog. And an industry-unusual work-life balance.

We strictly adhere to our own quota guidelines: maximum zero percent jerks at MOTOR. Apart from that, we are quite open-minded: Everyone should have their own mind and their own opinion. From Bielefeld to Mexico, from Grinch to Happy Hippo, from Borussia Dortmund to FC Bayern - everyone is unique at MOTOR. Uniquely nice.

Volker

Volker is a typical Berliner - being not from Berlin. But he is not just any Berliner. That's why he doesn't have one origin background, but three: born in the Ländle, the teenage years in Dortmund and finally grown up in Northern Germany. No question: the man has worked his way up from the bottom. He reached a height of 2.02 metres. That’s impressive, even before he starts talking. Talking of speaking: this is, where he achieves the physically impossible: communicating from above at eye level. That's why he is also a giant as a boss, always having everything in sight. And he doesn't just take care of the bigger picture, but also of the small everyday concerns of his team mates. In short: he makes sure that everything runs smoothly. Ok, maybe that is not so typical Berlin after all.

It sounds like one of the great Heimatfilms: Salzburg. Sun. Beginning of spring. Frederik, youngest son of an advertising dynasty, sees the light of day. And out of the window the Alps. But from an early age he prefers to look at the peaks of advertising. Instead of Arthouse, he was fascinated by Art Direction. Consequently, he makes a cut – and moves to Munich, finding the role of his life as a graphic designer. Only the sets do not yet match his ideas. The agencies are real blockbusters, but he wants to direct them himself. So in 2010 he wrote his own screenplay and founded MOTOR. And since then he has been directing staff and projects confidently through his own film. The credits are still a long way off. But now every working day has a happy end.

Fabi

Henny is something very special: Not only because that is her real name. She also didn't move to Berlin, she's neither a Hippster, nor permanently high. She doesn't live in a shared flat in Neukölln, doesn't rave illegally in the Hasenheide and doesn't have any purpose-driven start-up ideas. She was born in Friedrichshain, grew up in Mahlsdorf, and calls Hellersdorf her home for years now. Without Instafilter, without tourists, without pub crawls. #paradise
She finds her life so ordinary that she doesn't even realize that this is what makes her more individual than all the New-Berliners will never be. After all, at 20 years old, she's already working in advertising for the second time. This is not a project, this is a career. In any case, we're especially happy that she's now taking the next steps with us as a working student. And we don't even have to think up a nickname for her.

As the son of two development workers, Fabian learns early on: only practice makes perfect. That's why he doesn't put off his wishes, but goes to Ulm at 17 to learn graphic design from ground up. As an apprentice he improves his ability to carve out designs from scratch. After that it was more than natural to start a study in wood technology. With this he builds himself a stable career ladder and gets into advertising. And to Berlin. Once there, Fabian has several irons in the fire again: While he works on an original London double-decker bus RM2109 Cabriolet in his spare time, he tunes our layouts at MOTOR up to full speed.

Born in Chile, grown up not far from Bahnhof Zoo. Without drugs, but with lots of natural energy. That's how he helped tear down the Berlin Wall when he was only seven years old. Apparently the one in his head too. Even at school he stands out by writing over the edge.

Soon after graduating from high school he ends up at the "Hamburg School of Ideas“. And from then on he gets paid for writing. A feeling he finds priceless even as an intern. No wonder that he hasn't been able to stop writing ever since. He has already worked for Audi and Mercedes - and still doesn't have a driving licence. But that won't stop him from pushing the pedals at MOTOR.

Kerstin

Kerstin

Straight to the point: Kerstin is different. While most people want to leave home right after graduating from school, she prefers to stay at home, in Berlin – until today. At a young age she experiences the greatest event in recent German history right where it happend. But it doesn't come as one might think: she sleeps through the fall of the Berlin Wall. Even though she lived in the immediate vicinity of Bornholmer Strasse.

And things also turned out differently when she changed jobs: while many left the advertising industry, Kerstin took the other path and went straight in. Only logical, that someone who likes to watch advertising in private simply belongs in advertising business.
And while she, unlike the others, gives the heads of MOTOR a helping hand, the team immediately took her to heart. Which was not to be expected otherwise.

Can you arrive by mistake? Nathalie thinks about this when she sees the two suitcases with which she only wanted to travel from Krefeld to Berlin for a short time. Six months turned into five years. The film internship turned into a Master in Linguistics. And the two suitcases turned into a room full of really important stuff – books, plants and a piano she doesn't play.

But being here turned into wanting to get away again. So with the two suitcases she went to France. But she never really arrived there. So she came back. Less for the piano and more for the plants. And maybe a little bit for writing as well. Because that's what she does now at MOTOR. And she does it on purpose.

Alex

He is anything but a blank sheet. In Berlin there is even a square named after him. Born in Bielefeld and a confesseing Arminenfan, he leaves the writing on sheets to others during his school days. He prefers to draw – or makes paper planes out of the sheets. A creative strategy with which he passes his exams. When he learns that „Curry Wurst" is not an exclusively East Westphalian speciality, Alex can't stop: he leaves the province behind and gives the capital the honour of hosting him. Obviously also a bit to study at the Design Academy. Here he becomes a designer, still draws more and more and better and better and perfects his paper planes on the side. By the way, Alex rarely shows up at Alex Square. But daily at MOTOR, where he has found his real place.

In "Brandenburg an der Havel", Thomas learns two things early on that prepare him best for the advertising industry: 1. Don't trust everything that is propagated as a great idea. 2. If you want to implement your own ideas, you have to overcome walls. Even if this means occupying the Permanent Representation of West Germay in East Berlin with hundreds of like-minded people.

Thus he lands in the golden West already one month before the fall of the wall. And there he really gets to know capitalism up close: his desired study as a tax consultant leads him back to Berlin as an accountant in a network agency. But fixed structures are simply not his. So he goes into business for himself, keeps track of the financial MOTOR logbook every month and has since then trusted the most effective of all forms of advertising: word-of-mouth propaganda.

Let's put it this way: Apart from Mum, Dad and Wikipedia, nobody calls Jörg Jörg - not even Jörg. As a native of Erfurt, he may officially call himself a "Broad Bean", but he prefers to call himself Hugo. Understandable, we say. And call him Q. Like the inventor from the James Bond films. Jörg - meaning Hugo or Q solves impossible problems as a digital producer. "Conception / Consulting / Prototyping" is what his business card says. He prefers to call it crafting, building and fiddling. And is obviously made for the MOTOR-Garage. Logically, we say: "Nice to have you here, dear Q."

Even though Cookie is a purebred Labrador, we are convinced that she comes from the shredder family. As is typical for the European Canis lupus machina, Cookie is an omnivore: from the bakery bag to the payroll, she crushes everything she comes across. Weak ideas and limping concepts are always easy prey. As a pack animal, Cookie can also be different: If you need an excuse like "The dog ate my concepts", she is there for you. She truly is the best friend of MOTOR.
