Ho ho hoh no…!

Walnuts are a real superfood. Super healthy. Super versatile. Super tasty. So everything is super? Not quite. Because in Germany walnuts are pretty much linked to the Christmas season. As soon as all the biscuits have gone, so does the nutcracker.

Our friends from "California Walnuts" think that's not so super. 'Cause walnuts are not only awesome in winter, but they taste super good with a huge variety of dishes all year long. Super muesli. Super pasta. Super salad. And if you eat a handful of walnuts every day, you're not only doing Pam and Claire from the California Walnut Commission a super big favour, but more importantly, yourself.

But how do we stay in the minds – and kitchens – of the republic all year round?

For this, we teamed up with NOKTO Film and bEpic and carved ourselves the perfect brand ambassador. A nutcracker with a distinct attention disorder. It was a long way from the first sketch to the final rendering - but it paid off: the combination of filmed material, CGI animation and motion capturing turned a stiff-legged dust catcher into a real showman.

This is they rhythm of the nut.

Tchaikovsky already knew that the Nutcracker was made for the big stage. But our hero dances not just for an elite audience, but for the masses. And they still love the best from the eighties, the eighties and the eighties. We were allowed to browse in Universal Music's jukebox - and couldn't forget one tune in particular.
